Women in Surgery

Abstract

The artist is a also a neurosurgery resident. These three pieces are digital illustrations meant to raise visibility of female surgeons in male-dominated fields, such as neurosurgery. Based on photo references taken in the operating room, the artist focuses on the surgeons as primary figures in each painting, highlighted by the centralized focus of surgical light on the field.
